PENSIL RAMAH LINGKUNGAN

     Pensil adalah alat tulis yang sangat simpel. Dapat digunakan dengan tipis, tebal, dan bisa dihapus. Prosedur fungsi dari pensil juga sangat sederhana. Inti dari pensil terbuat dari grafit, yaitu bahan yang mudah menempel pada kertas. Sementara prosedur fungsi penghapus adalah menarik kembali grafit dari permukaan kertas.

     Pensil yang paling banyak beredar adalah pensil yang terbungkus dengan kayu. Namun sekarang tidak sedikit beredar pensil mekanik, yaitu pensil yang menggunakan struktur pulpen mata bola dengan inti pensil terpisah. Awalnya pensil mekanik diisi dengan inti pensil yang sangat kecil, namun sekarang tidak jarang ada pensil yang berisikan inti pensil yang sebesar inti pensil kayu. Nah, kebetulan saya baru saja membeli pensil dengan jenis tersebut dan kakak saya berkata bahwa seharusnya pensil kayu sudah ditiadakan dan diganti dengan pensil mekanik saja. Lalu saya berpikir, benar juga ya kata kakak saya. Produksi pensil kayu akan terus menggunakan kayu sebagai bahan dasarnya, dalam kata lain produksinya akan melibatkan penebangan pohon secara terus menerus. Sementara jika kita membeli pensil mekanik, kita hanya butuh membelinya sekali saja, dan jika isinya habis, makanya isinya saja yang akan kita beli, bukan?



Jika pensil kayu kita tumpul, kita akan pergi mengambil penserut dan menajamkan pensil kita. Ya, hanya pensilnya saja. Sementara bagian kayu yang terserut akan terbuang begitu saja. Jadi, peran kayu disini hanyalah sebagai pembungkus kemasan inti pensil. Sungguh sayang sekali. Dari sisi penserut juga dapat kita lihat, penggunaan plastik dalam proses pembuatan penserut untuk pensil kayu jelas-jelas lebih banyak daripada plastik yang digunakan dalam proses pembuatan penserut untuk pensil mekanik ( inti besar). Bahkan, karena bentuknya yang sangat kecil, penserut untuk pensil mekanik ini dapat ditaruh di tutup pensil itu sendiri. Jadi menurut saya, penggunaan pensil mekanik sangatlah efektif, tanpa menghilangkan fungsi dari pensil itu sendiri.



     Penggunaan pensil mekanik memang menggunakan plastik sebagai bahan dasarnya, tetapi penggunaan plastik tersebut akan abadi jika dirawat dengan baik. Bahkan, akan sangat jauh lebih baik jika plastik yang digunakan produsen untuk membuat pegangan pensil mekanik dibuat dari bahan-bahan ramah lingkungan seperti plastik daur ulang (plastik bernomor 7).

Harlem Shake

"Insane!"
That's the first respond of my friend's when I asked them about what Harlem Shake is. Well, Harlem Shake is kind of dance that include so many people with drunken-shake movement. Harlem Shake is also called albee, and I prefer albee because it's shorter :P
Harlem Shake originally began in Harlem, New York, in 1981 and become a mainstream topic this year - a very popular music video in many versions.
The usual beginning of Harlem Shake music video is one guy wearing a mask, helmet, hat, or anything that can cover his face from the audience, and is dancing in the middle of the bored crowds - seems like he's trying to get everyone involved in his happiness. And after few seconds, all the crowds are just dancing together, with unknown dance movement, as crazy as they can do!
The most Harlem Shake video are only last in average 30 seconds. Other than that, most of them are really entertaining, and I would love to share this albee video made in high school in Indonesia, very crazy and attractive! You should see what every single person do in this video! =))

Living Things

Living Things is not recently released, but I decided to post this. This 5th studio album of Linkin Park successfully amazed me. Obviously, they appear with few different sounds from the previous albums. For me, LT is a little bit similar with A Thousand Suns, the 4th studio album of Linkin Park. I think ATS and LT are different from the first three albums, Hybrid Theory, Meteora and Minutes To Midnight. In Hybrid Theory and Meteora they made a pure rock style of themselves, while in Minutes To Midnight most of the songs are slow-beated. But in ATS and LT they put a touch of unique sound (I can't explain what it sounds like) that makes these albums are unforgettable. It's been LP's characteristic to do something like that since the beginning, and I always love it somehow haha :D
